Treehouses

Huckleberries
Bountiful and almost ripe
Cold lake shimmering turquoise
Cooling the hot dust and bark
Ripple in the water
Imperceptible below the mountain
Thousands of years tall

Rows of trees flowing along the
Rays of the setting sun tracing
Wooden homes on the hillside
Treehouses burrowing out
Full of imagination
Dreams wafting
Up the steps
Filling the hearts
Perched in their
Loft beds
Looking out the window
The sky is near
Everything you need
Is here
