The World’s Exhale

Waking up
I hear the rain, the wind rustling the tree branches
The rushing of car wheels spinning over the wet streets
I see the blue light peeking from behind the curtains
It’s still dark in the room, only the blue silhouette of sleep is seen
Wanting to share listening to the white cleansing sound
Spirit at ease, calmed, comforted
Released into the exhale that connects the earth and sky
Body feels like a home, warm and still
Encased in invisible memories that shelter me from the wet and wind
I curl into another home
And listen to the rain as our spirits
Release and sail
Through the rush of the
World’s exhale
